Welcome

A blog about the four C's of my life - Children, Crafting, Cleaning, Cooking!
We almost all have them and should all have a place to share them!

Pine Cone Carrot Tutorial

You Will Need:

Long Pine Cones
Old Christmas Garland
Orange Spray Paint
Glue Gun

I wash and bake my pine cones, so you can do that first if you'd like!
(Instructions Below)

Step 1- Lay down newspaper and spray paint your pine cones

Step 2- Seal with sealer if you choose

Step 3- Cut your garland  into about 4 inch pieces
you can really choose how long you'd like your stems to be,
then glue the pieces to top of pine cones for stems

Finish by adding them to baskets or buckets or wherever you'd like!

Cleaning and Baking the pine cones:
Preheat Oven 200 degrees

Fill the sink with soapy water soak them for about 20 min
swishing the water to remove sap and debris.
Then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap.
Allow to drain in sink for a few minutes.
Then place on foil lined cookie sheet,
bake for about 20 minutes until dry.
You can also place outside on a nice warm sunny day to dry!
**DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED IN THE OVEN**
