We almost all have them and should all have a place to share them!

Ending Our Elementary Years......

My oldest son Zachary will be graduating 8th grade on June 22nd (OMG)
High school is just a few months away.........
I am full of all sorts of strange emotions, he is growing up so fast.
(Where does the time go.....)
He is 14 going on 40 I swear. He has turned into an amazing young man.
(I don't say this because he is mine either..lol)
He just truly is....since the day he was born.
He slept through the night from day one, walked at 9 months and
potty trained by 2! He was just the best baby never cried or whined
always happy and smiling. I could and did take him anywhere and everywhere.
He has signed up to do an internship this summer at a very reputable equine clinic
and got the position. He rides his horses nearly everyday and does shows and
competitions and just loves anything that has to do with horses.

Today he is in Boston, Massachusetts for his class trip.
They will be going on the DUCK tour
The Duck Tour , which sounds AWESOME!!
Then his group will be going to the New England Aquarium and
Hard Rock Cafe for lunch and some shopping.
After, the whole grade meets again and is going to see Blue Man Group!!
Then dinner at Fire & Ice and dessert in the North End Of Boston!
What a lucky little guy he is today!! I bet they are going to have a great time!!
I can not wait until he gets home tonight (they won't be home till midnight...AHH)!

I also am happy to annouce I also graduate this month,
I will have my Associates Degree in Business Management!
One long road finally coming to an end,
we will be having a party to celebrate both graduations!!

I hope you all are having a great spring/summer so far =)

A Painted Door Mat

The unofficial start of summer is here, FINALLY!!
I am excited to be able to be outside in the yard and the weather has sparked my creativity again!! Yippee!!
I went to the Dollar Tree this week and bought this rug.

It was not very pretty and I thought it needed something.
So I grabbed my paints and some clip art, and my projector.
I taped the rug to the wall and projected the image I had chosen on the rug.
I traced it out on the rug with a marker, then painted it with acrylic paints.
Here is what it looks like!
Awesome!! : )
(My kitty helper in the corner, she is always willing to give a helping paw!)

I love the way it turned out, especially for $1.00 you just can't go wrong!
I may just have to try a few more!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

Every Man Should Read This!

Found this today and thought it was super funny!
Only if all men could read this....
I use all of these and could add to this! LOL

Enjoy!

Happy Mothers Day!

Basement Window To Wall Decor

Seriously Cute Bedroom Art!
I love using "trash" to make something AWESOME!
We have had this window sitting around forever (a curbside find).
I had MANY ideas for it and never got around to doing any of them....
Finally decided it was time to do something with it!
I have been making things for my sons bedroom, we are going from baby to toddler!
He is totally into anything with wheels, so naturally cars and trucks and the like is the theme.
This project was perfect and CHEAP- free actually, using things I already had!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Supplies:

Old Window
White Paint
White Felt
Black Fabric
(size of your window)
Modge Podge
Staple Gun
Saw Tooth Hanger

Here is how I did it:

First-

I sanded the window a little, not much I wanted it to look
rustic/shabby. Then painted it white.

(All Painted White)

Second-

I looked up clip art for a car, truck and a train in google.
Saved them and opened them in paint, I played around with the sizes
once I got them to look how I wanted I printed them out.
Once printed I cut them out and cut each onto white felt.

(Pictures I Found)

Third-

I applied modge podge to the back of my felt cut outs.
I took the cut outs and place them in the center of each window,
modge podge side towards the glass.
I centered them by looking at it from the front.

Fourth-

Next I took the black fabric and cut it to the size of the window.
Used the staple gun and stapled it to the back of the window.
Only one the outside edges, not the middles.
Be careful not to staple near the glass!
Then added the sawtooth hanger to the top.

Here is your finished product!

If you decide to make this, I would love to see it!

Thank You For Stopping By!

Spring Thyme Crafting

How cute are these?!

A friend of mine shared these, and I just knew I had to make and share them!

They were so simple and look so natural and cute!

Here is how I made them:

Supplies

Small Peat Pots
Wire
Spanish Moss
Muslin Scraps
Battery Operated Tea Light
Fine Point Permanent Marker
Modge Podge or White Glue
Twine
Needle Nose Pliers
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
1)  Take your wire and pliers and poke it through the insides of your pot on both sides,
using your pliers twist the wire to have the small curl shown.

2) Fill your pot with a samll amount of spanish moss

3) Cut a small piece of  muslin into a tiny rectangle, with your marker write Spring.
Once you have finished writing turn over and brush on the
modge podge and attach to the pot.

4) Cut a small piece of twine and tie onto wire handle in a bow

5) Place tea light in the pot nestled among the spanish moss!

Your Done!

Place a few on a window sill or mantle etc. or give as a gift!

If you make them take pictures and come back and share,
I would love to see them!

The DIY Show Off

Busy, Busy!

Hello,

I have been super busy and unable to blog we have actually had spring like weather here!
Which means LOTS of yard work, GROSS!!
My son was also in a play, we went and he was amazing and the play was fantastic!
I am almost done with school, my Associates in Business Management!
I am taking my final class this semester Math another GROSS!!
I have been doing a bunch of projects, hopefully will get them posted soon.
I have a few makeovers and my updated finished headboard from a previous post!
Hope your all doing well!

Weekend Projects

I had a busy weekend, got a lot accomplished!
That is unusual for me, with my 3 boys I never ever get "Me" time!
I have been wanting to make a headboard for my bed forever!!
I finally got the chance to make it!!

I sort of followed this DIY Tutorial @

It was WAY easier than I thought it would be,
would have done it a long time ago had I known that!!
I thought it was looking kind of plain on the top so,
I made this wreath to match the bedding!
I got the idea and tutorial from:
Easy Peasy!
I also made this pillow to match too, this I made
using my own pattern and idea!
So CUTE! Love It!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Then I saw this saying and just knew I had to have it!
I played around with the lettering in Microsoft Word,
until I got it just right! Then printed it and framed it!
Vey Cute and Easy and FREE! LOVE EASY and FREE!!!
(I am a Mother of three boys!)

Well I had a good weekend, How About You?
