Basement Window To Wall Decor
Seriously Cute Bedroom Art!
I love using "trash" to make something AWESOME!
We have had this window sitting around forever (a curbside find).
I had MANY ideas for it and never got around to doing any of them....
Finally decided it was time to do something with it!
I have been making things for my sons bedroom, we are going from baby to toddler!
He is totally into anything with wheels, so naturally cars and trucks and the like is the theme.
This project was perfect and CHEAP- free actually, using things I already had!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Supplies:
Old Window
White Paint
White Felt
Black Fabric
(size of your window)
Modge Podge
Staple Gun
Saw Tooth Hanger
Here is how I did it:
First-
I sanded the window a little, not much I wanted it to look
rustic/shabby. Then painted it white.
(All Painted White)
Second-
I looked up clip art for a car, truck and a train in google.
Saved them and opened them in paint, I played around with the sizes
once I got them to look how I wanted I printed them out.
Once printed I cut them out and cut each onto white felt.
(Pictures I Found)
Third-
I applied modge podge to the back of my felt cut outs.
I took the cut outs and place them in the center of each window,
modge podge side towards the glass.
I centered them by looking at it from the front.
Fourth-
Next I took the black fabric and cut it to the size of the window.
Used the staple gun and stapled it to the back of the window.
Only one the outside edges, not the middles.
Be careful not to staple near the glass!
Then added the sawtooth hanger to the top.
Here is your finished product!
If you decide to make this, I would love to see it!
Thank You For Stopping By!

Spring Thyme Crafting
How cute are these?!
A friend of mine shared these, and I just knew I had to make and share them!
They were so simple and look so natural and cute!
Here is how I made them:
Supplies
Small Peat Pots
Wire
Spanish Moss
Muslin Scraps
Battery Operated Tea Light
Fine Point Permanent Marker
Modge Podge or White Glue
Twine
Needle Nose Pliers
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
1) Take your wire and pliers and poke it through the insides of your pot on both sides,
using your pliers twist the wire to have the small curl shown.
2) Fill your pot with a samll amount of spanish moss
3) Cut a small piece of muslin into a tiny rectangle, with your marker write Spring.
Once you have finished writing turn over and brush on the
modge podge and attach to the pot.
4) Cut a small piece of twine and tie onto wire handle in a bow
5) Place tea light in the pot nestled among the spanish moss!
Your Done!
Place a few on a window sill or mantle etc. or give as a gift!
If you make them take pictures and come back and share,
I would love to see them!
